Now in it’s 17th year, this Charity event was originally a fund raiser for the local school at Rushton and Cancer Research. It has grown every year and is now a major fundraiser for several children's charities.
In recent years, an estimated 6,000 people attend raising up to £26,000 annually. In 2009 this was split between Cancer Research UK, Midlands Air Ambulance, Donna Louise Trust and Rushton Home SchoolAssociation with many smaller groups such as The Local Scouts, Macclesfield Young Farmers Club and Blackshaw Moor School who all sent in teams of helpers and received donations.
This year there are opportunities for other teams of volunteers to raise money for their chosen charity by becoming involved with helping. If you can spare a few hours......
Before - Food preparation, Field layout
During - Stewarding, Refreshments, BBQ, running stalls
After - tidying up, collecting in road signs
then we will be delighted to hear from you.
We also need Auction, Raffle and Tombola prizes, and Sponsorship.
