Now in it’s 15th year, this Charity event was originally a fund raiser for Cancer Research. It has grown every year and is now a major fundraiser for several children's charities.
In recent years, an estimated 8,000 people attend raising £26,000 annually. This was split between The Cheshire NSPCC, The Alder Hey Children’s Hospital (Cancer Ward) and Rushton Primary School with many smaller groups such as The Local Scouts, Macclesfield Young Farmers Club and Blackshaw Moor School who all sent in teams of helpers and received donations.
This year there are opportunities for other teams of volunteers to raise money for their chosen charity by becoming involved with helping. If you can spare a few hours,
Before - Food preparation, Field layout During - Stewarding, Refreshments, BBQ, running stalls After - tidying up, collecting in road signs
then we will be delighted to hear from you.
We also need Auction, Raffle and Tombola prizes, and Sponsorship.
Even if you can only bake a cake for us, it can be your way of helping raise money for Charity. Please help to make this popular day out a success.
Working with our team of volunteers can be very rewarding and more fun than you might imagine!!!
